Robert, I think it is a great idea to have the motion for dis-allowing table space to slabbers come from the floor. I guess I am a little confused though why I have read in this thread that the Board has final say in matters of policy. I realize that the "day to day" operations are the responsibility of the Officers of the Club, and that the Board is the "Governing" body of the organization, but both are elected by the MEMBERSHIP to represent them in matters of the Association. There is not one DUES PAYING Organization that I know of where the Membership did not have the supreme authority of the Organization, especially as when assembled at the Annual Meeting. Maybe the CC>CC is different but I hope not. I would see this as a fatal weakness in our club. There is no CC>CC without the DUES PAYING membership.
