Robert, the sports card market is still growing. We have not lost old time collectors. In fact grading has brought back customers who were so discusted, the way the hobby was going in the late 80's and early to mid 90's. They were sick of buying cards that had been trimmed, and overgraded. They would buy a card from a dealer who would tell them it was one grade, and when they went to sell or trade the card another dealer told them oh no the card was a much lower grade. Believe me that has stoped in the baseball card hobby. Why? Grading. Ben is correct PSA does buy back cards that were misgraded. Why would they do that? They do not want misgraded cards with there name on them. I for one have had cards come back to me graded way to high, they were obvious mistakes. I did not sell them back to them, but I did give them back to them to correct. I do not want to sell a card to a customer that is not graded properly. If I did I would not have that customer for long. Who is shoving it down your throat? If you do not want a slabbed chip do not send them in to be graded and do not purchase them. As for buying chips on Ebay for a thousand dollars or more from people I don't know. Six months ago I did not know anyone in the hobby, Like I said in an earlier post most of the people I have purchased from have been very honest and hospitable to me. Everyday on Ebay people purchase graded baseball cards from people they do not know for thousands of dollars. Thanks Ric Chandgie
