In response to your reply to an earlier post. I don't doubt that the sports card hobby grew 10 fold when slabbing entered the hobby. However what has it done to promote the hobby. That 10 fold consisted mostly of speculators and investors. This is something we are not interested in nor do we want it shoved down our throats.

On your second point regarding the code of ethics that we have in our club. You suggest that this offers us no protection on e-bay or transactions outside the club.

1] I suggest that e-bay offers protection against fraud
2] I doubt very much I that I would be buying a $1000 chip from someone I didn't know on e-bay to begin with.
3] What gaurantee does the slab offer? Slabbing companies offer an opinion not a gaurantee.
4] The extra cost of paying for a slab that offers no protection nor gaurantee seems ludicrous.
