Re: Blackjack Dealer's Union
In Response To: Re: Blackjack Dealer's Union ()

Dealers have been complaining to me for 25 years that they make (almost) no wages and live on tips. From everything I have been told a dealer does make very good money at most strip locations. ( I have seen several occasions where a dealer has to have help removing the tip box from a BJ pit because he couldn't lift it himself. How many chips can you put in a 5 gallon bucket?)So what do they need to pay $30 or more to a union for every month if their income comes from tips? Before voting in a union the dealers also need to consider that a lot of their customers may be very anti-union and that may reduce tips. I am sure that competition for good dealers is very keen these days and that most casino benefits are the same.
