I agree with Jim and Kerry. The suggestion by CW was ludicrous, and the TCR authors need to know how much the real collectors love and appreciate the work they do for us. The unfortunate reality is that in a hobby as small as ours, someone with the ambition and resources to publish a work such as the "official" guide can have a profound impact on the values of our collections. My overwhelming concern is that the authors have produced this reference for the primary purpose of influencing chip value for their own benefit, and I believe they have been quite successful. That is why I expressed a concern over the TCR authors adjusting their values when they differ from CW's. That may not be what's happening. Maybe TCR values change towards CW's because of the influence of CW. Whatever it is, it's not good for the hobby.

The LAST thing we need is for TCR to be typecast as a second best guide. Michael needs to hear us loud and clear. TCR is the first, the best, the one true guide - by hobbyists for hobbyists. Long live TCR!!!!!
