You will not have to change any of your passwords, however it is always a good a idea to change your passwords from time to time.

Going to cable will not require any changes that would be different from going to any other internet provider. You will have a new email address, so you will want to let people know the new address. You will also need to change your email address at Ebay and any other service you use which sends you email or uses your email address as an ID.

unless your ebay userid is your email address, you will not need to change your user ID so you will not get the shades. If you have been using your email address as your user ID I think you will have to change it.

The one change you might want to make once you go to cable, is you might want to run a firewall program. I was using Blackice Defender, but I was having some conflicts with other software and crashing. Now I use ZoneAlarm which is free at http://www.zonelabs.com

If you have a network at home be sure to diable file sharing. If you must keep file sharing on there are some other security steps you can take, ask your cable company or email me and I will try to find some resources for you.
