To run a show, or any event, is time consuming and sometimes a money loss. I'm glad to have the opportunity put my extra chips on a table and possibly sell them. But more importantly, it gives us collectors and dealers an opportunity to see people with whom we've sold and traded chips - to put a name with a face and to meet old and new collectors. I do hope you make money from the show - it is a hugh undertaking. As for the negatives and #####es that show up on this board - I'm getting tired of it. I get enough of that in my job. I want a hobby that is enjoyable and chip collecting certainly is and I want a board that is informative about the hobby. There are a lot of recognized experts that write on this board, Trimble, Lewin, Dr. Myers, Campiglia to name just a few, whose ever message I read. I'd like them to write more that will educate us new-comers.
