You state that casino's get to keep 100% of the profits on their chip sales, that may hold true in NV but in NJ casinos are taxed on LE sales.
If you think there is a glut of crap being produced now, what do you suppose will happen if your plan is implimented.
What I see happening is more casinos becomming chip mills. With the added royalties they would have to pay their LE edition sizes would have to increase to make it profitable. How do you suppose these chips will be absorbed into the market.
Take a $5 chip in an issue size of 500 pieces, assuming it costs $1 to produce the chip you are left with a gross profit of $2000. if the licensing fee would amount to 25% or $500 I can really see them lining up to cash in.
It is my opinion that you are trying to turn a fine hobby into even more of a commercial enerprise than it already is.
I'm just sitting here with baited breath waiting for my Tidy Bowl and Richard Simmons chips to be issued.
I would like to see our hobby promoted, not ruined as another commercial enterprise
