I used to write a chip column on Atlantic City chips in Al Moe's newsletters around the time Bill Borland was publishing his newsletters; well before there was a CC & GTCC. I also purchased 3 large cartons of Nevada ash trays from Al at $2@, right after Mr. Anderson's book came out ... and Al Moe paid the shipping which came to more than $50 from what I can recall. Al is a great guy and very knowledgeable. I was saddened to read his post of his loss of valuable chips. I hope the thief is caught and is rewarded by the judge with the full amount of the penalty allowed.
On the subject of the $1000 reward Al is offering.... The club also maintains a Reward Fund for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the guilty party who has ripped off a club member. I don't know if Al Moe is still a member of CCGTCC, but if he is, the $1000 reward he is offering could easily be doubled.
Another example of "education" .... for those new and old members who are not aware of this benefit of club membership. This fact should be publicized more in the club magazine and also on the club's website.
