Re: Roulette Chips

"I do have a question as I mostly collecting $1 chips - are the roulette chips good collectibles? Why?"

Personally, I've always been attracted to collecting what the masses don't collect. Everybody has the more common $1 chips. Current roulette chips are generally inexpensive... and are a challenge to aquire. Traditionally, while there are hundreds of color/design combinations on the roulette tables, not more than a couple of stacks are harvested and distributed among "teams" of serious roulette collectors.... so the number of roulette chips outstanding in the hobby is generally limited to well less than 50 or so.... quite frequently even less! The more classical sought-after roulettes from closed casinos command much higher prices... many times well into three figures. While the numbers of individual roulette collectors are not huge, their legions are constantly growing to a finite supply of chips.
