I've discussed with Wayne that if we had a reception and charged a modest fee, the club would subsidize the remainder, and we had a dynamite speaker, such as a Bob Stupak, the attendance would be greatly enhanced. Don't remember, someone still has to do all the leg work. It doesn't matter how many suggestions we come up with. If we don't have anyone to do the leg-work, it's not going to happen.

My suggestion of having a few showgirls pose for photographs with funds going to the club was just a bit late. But I think it would have been fun.

Our convention people are pretty smart, they've thought about a lot of things to improve future conventions. The reg fee has been considered but what do you do about those who are NOT members. In a town where there are so many free things, would we lose a disproportionate number of non-members if the fee were too high?
