I need your input on this one.
I recently won an auction on eBay for "a set of 3 chips, $1/$5/$25, in a plastic holder". I was surprised when the "chips" arrived. The plastic holder was a plexiglass paperweight with the 3 chips embedded inside and not removeable. These are definitely not chips (notice plural), it is a paperweight (one item). There wasn't a picture of the "chips" in the auction description. Since I do not collect paperweights, I did want this item. (Now I realize that I should not buy anything without seeing the picture first!) I emailed the seller and arranged to return the item. The seller's refund check arrived today, but did not include the cost of any of the postage. I paid $7.20 for mailing the paperweight back and forth. The way I look at it, why should I be out the postage when it was the seller who did not accurately describe the auction lot? The dealer is basically whole on the deal, except for the cost of the eBay listing. At least we should have split the postage. What do you think?
