...for another eloquent informative post. An auction is a whole 'nother breed of cat when it comes to buying and selling which is the fun of them for me. The auction format would seem to befit our hobby when you consider the games of chance that necessitate the existence of our little trophies in the first place. Highs and dissapointments, suspense and final result, kind of like my crummy blackjack game last night. I've run across sellers on eBay that were auction rookies, or not part of the chip hobby (like this seller) and it does make it harder than dealing with a familiar chip pro. I'm certain Pete Rizzo would never run an auction this way so yes, he would be understandably flummoxed by what happened. Glad you're willing to give us the angle from a grizzled (but in the best way!) eBay seller. Also, you've never called us "stubborn knotheads" either! Cool! Thanks.
