My Experience Today at Nevada Palace.

Just returned home from the convention and wanted to relate what happened to me today at the Nevada Palace. Like many of you, I had heard (on Saturday) that two individuals purchased approximately 400 $2.50's late Friday night. My wife and I went over there Sunday afternoon mainly to express my displeasure with the whole situation. I did not figure it would do any good but you never know. I talked to a cage manager who said two individuals did indeed purchase approx. 400 chips late Friday. It was approved by his boss - whoever that was. He agreed with me that it was not fair the way they were sold. We had a pleasant discussion and I told him that the chips would probably show up on eBay and the threads on this board should be interesting, to say the least. He asked if I would come back tomorrow (Monday) and I said I would stop in on my way out of town. I figured it was an invitation to talk to the General Manager. When I went back this morning, he asked me if I wanted to buy a set of chips!!! After the shock had faded, I said yes. He sold me three $2.50's plus a numbered set of one each: $1, $2.50, $5, $25. I said I thought they were all gone. He said they had " very few" $2.50's left and they did not know what they were going to do do with the "numbered" sets. So.. the plot thickens. Did those two mystery individuals buy all of the unnumbered $2.50's? Apparently not. How many numbered sets were made? Who knows?

It would be very nice if casinos placed some kind of limit on purchases and collectors/dealers were reasonable in their stocking up and left some for the next guy. But I guess that is just too much to ask for.
