I don't know of anyone who accused you of controlling the market (but I haven't read the whole BB yet tonight). I have accused you of manipulating it. I'd hope that it wasn't your intention to do so. The "poor me" posts don't indicate that you realize the impact you've had in the way you set this chip up.

Suggesting that regular subscribers to your new issue service would turn right around and sell their one chip at a bigger profit defeats the whole reason for subscribing to a new issue service. One doesn't do so hoping to profit from buying one chip that might turn out to be difficult to obtain, they do so to collect from your area and keep them. Most collectors want one example of a chip for their collection when they subscribe to a new issue service. Your jacking the price up encouraged non-collectors to hoard the chips, making it artificially too high.

I've dealt with real low issue chip finds. I had to choose who I would sell eleven of twelve chips that I found (kept one for myself, sold the rest, all within the same week). I chose people who I knew wanted the chip to keep, and charged them the same $15 price that I had sold two other chips in the set(50 each available).
