The medals are more valuable with the service records of the person awarded the medal. Many of the common medals are available for $5.00 & on Ebay some can be bought in bulk for $1-$2 each when unnamed. Rare and hard to find medals can be as high as $5000. (Waterloo, Charge of the Light Brigade, and Trafalgar) As you can see these are all British which tends to make them higher priced anyway.
