I agree with you 100% except for the fact that it is not always possible to buy chips from sellers/dealers outright as they never offer them! There are many on this BB and on ebay who have lists of chips for sale yet, you'll always see that GREAT chip offered on ebay or other auction sites first! Why you say, because they probably don't trust their asking price....afraid it may be too low and if it's up for auction, they'll maximize the value. Even if they do offer the chips, they really overprice the things "just in case". Look at the chips Knapp was offering.....'notched' chips for the price listed for a 'clean' example! You must know these are going to be in an auction for I doubt very much that more than the few that are "priced right" will sell!! Being from Vegas, I'm aware that you're "closer to the action" than we on the east coast so what you're able to "buy direct", we never know is for sale here.
