I don't know how close he came but when I took my son-in-law Zach to Casino Royale last week he held the dice for almost 45 minutes before sevening out. We know that one guy made $5800, one made $4100, one made $1600 plus everyone else at the table. They were playing $2 pass line bets with $200 odds. Since Zach was hitting the hard ways they started playing them heavy. He hit a hard eight, asked what number they wanted next and immediately hit a hard 10. Some guys had $200 on each of the hard ways and won both bets. Zach made $280 for himself and the guy that made $5800 tipped him $300. The table ran out of $100 chips and needed a double rack for refill. When the guy in front of me cashed out the cashier called for them to bring more cash since she was out. Never saw anything like it before.
