Bob Hermans/Belgium breaks the bank...

...on the Viking Princess. Before he started to
play Roulette, Bob asked if the house would accept
his proposal in abandoning the maximum bet
rule...and at the same time allowing him to double
each bet no matter what the outcome of the previous
spin. The house said yes...but that wasn't good
enough for me, so I simply drew up an handwritten
instrument which they agreed to sign.

Anyway, to make a long story short, Bob's number
seventeen straight-up came in 22-consecutive times.
After that 22nd win, management closed the casino in
order to gather all the chips which were both in
play and in the vault to cover Bob's next bet if he
decided to do so. After a 35-minute count-up, the
house informed Bob there weren't enough chips to
cover his next bet and if he would kindly leave the
casino area. That's when I pulled out that little
piece of paper the casino signed earlier while
nodding my head at the wheel to continue. They said
they can't cover the bet. I said: "whats wrong with
putting up this ton of crap we're floating on?"
Again my pen came out of my pocket. At this point
the only people in the casino were Bob; the pit,
shift, seven casino employees, security, the head of
casino operations (who is also the owner of the
ship) and little old me who is about to have a
massive coronary pending the outsome of where the
ball comes to rest on the final spin.

The game continues with a little push of the wheel
which is about to stop spinning and the ball is set
into motion. That last spin seemed to take an hour
before the ball dropped. As the ball finally did
start to bounce about...it jumped in and out of
sventeen's neighbors with a pop into the 5 and 32,
and then plop...right into the 17.

Bob needs to return to his family Friday, but he
gave me the okay to reoutfit the casino. I'm doing
it with an International-theme, complete with
plaques and jetons. Harvesting is welcome...and we
also welcome Bob Orme's Roulette system.

Otherwise, Bob really likes hot dogs...especially
after a big dinner.

For those of you in Florida who will meet Bob in the
next day or two....There's no words, he's ace-high.
