Wasn't going to get into this tete-a-tete between Picolo and Orme, but one thing that Bob mentioned piqued my intrest. That is his comment about "giving away $100 chips to "people who don't normally collect chips" and then went on to define these people as "highrollers on the casino's slot club lists".
Steve and Bob; I witnessed a simlar transaction at Tropicana in Atlantic City, when a host accompanied a player.... got a $100 Trop millennium chip off the roulette table and vouchered it for the player as a comp. So, my question to you I guess, is this the same as "GIVING AWAY" to people who don't normally collect chips?
BTW: This is one thing we all have in common. Whether one is a player, a collector, a dealer, or a casino owner. The goal of each and every one of us is to hang onto as many chips as we can.
