poker rooms
In Response To: A Sad Note ()

...sometimes(maybe always) casino management decisions are made without talking to the people that work a specific area. A good dealer in a poker room will make good money. A good waitress in a poker room will make good money. A good bartender who provides the drinks to the waitress in a poker room will make good money. ALL TIPS!

While quarter and dollar slots might make a little more money, there are still enough gamblers that want to play games where some thought process is involved, and for the most part from what I've seen, thinking gamblers tip better.

...closing a poker room and laying off good people might be a profitable move, but if the room was making money (any at all), it was a bad move. Keeping old customers is more important than making top dollar off of new customers.
