If not too late....I will put in auction a HISTORICAL chip from license #2 dated April 1931 at the Las Vegas Club under Horden, Houssels et. al.
For years we had suspected the JKH chips a few of us had in the small chain mold h/stamped boldly were from the Las Vegas Club. So after much procrastination , I located John Kell HOussels just before his picture appeared on the Union Plaza chips. I called his office, got the appointment at Noon during one of the Union plaza shows and spent 3 hours in his office out at the Showboat. He looked at the chip and recalled it was the first one used by his father. He is JKH II and his Son the third now runs the gaming empire because he rather likes horse racing etc...after WWII he went to Stanford Law and returned to LV to run the gaming empire. Nice man and he verified the chips after asking for one of each color since he had not seen one in many years. License #1 was a lady that used cash and never used chips he said. This one will be in auction ....
