ARTICHOKE JOE 1 & 5 CHIPS

I recently posted a request for attribution the 1 & 5 cent ARTICHOKE JOE'S chips that have been appearing lately. I received this response from one of the owners, which is very helpful.

I recently received an email from my friend, John Benedict .
He says that someone is questioning the authenticity of
the 1 cent & 5 cent chips from ARTICHOKE'S POKER
PALACE in Carson City, NV simply because they cannot
find a listing for the chips in THE CHIP RACK 4 .

I can personally vouch for the authenticity of these chips .
They are used in " special low-limit games " at ARTICHOKE'S
POKER PALACE in Carson City . They are used VERY
INFREQUENTLY ( sometimes only every month or two ) .
These " special games " are " BY INVITATION ONLY " and all
potential players are notified of the game time NO MORE THAN
24 HOURS IN ADVANCE BY TELEPHONE .

During these special games, this is the ONLY TIME that
the low denomination chips are used . These chips CANNOT
BE PURCHASED AT THE CASINO FOR ANY PRICE.
These are extremely hard chips to obtain, very few chips are
in collector's hands, and therefore these will continue to
command PREMIUM PRICES from Nevada chip collectors .

A very close personal friend of mine, WHO WAS INVITED TO
A SPECIAL GAME, was able to " pocket " a few of these chips.
They actually count the chips at the end of the game to make
sure they are all accounted for . My friend " distracted " the
chip person who was doing the counting by continually
asking questions, and that's how he obtained a few of these
chips . Obviously, I do have a few of these chips available
for sale .

This response should answer all questions relating to these
low denomination chips. Please feel free to email me directly
if you have any further questions.
