Re: a newbie's thoughts on chip collecting and chip collectors(warning-long post!)

Oh don't worry, there are other, not-so-serious, collectors around here. I keep most of my chips in plastic chip boxes, although I do have books for my Wisconsin chips, and Elko Nevada. The rest are stacked all over, some in cigar boxes. Heck, you have a serious Tupper Ware box! LOL

I've stopped cataloging all the chips in dbase. I collect LE's if someone gets them off the tables, or if I get them in person... at face value! I'm very happy to trade for just about anything I don't have. So much for making any distinctions. A chip is a chip.

I do appreciate the dealers, because they are a source for chips, when someone is looking for something special. As for myself, what's a profit?

Welcome to the BB and chip collecting. Have a good time. I do this because it's fun, and I enjoy it. ps the club people are a great group, and always willing to share information.
