Greg; You beat me to it. The answer is exactly what Greg said. There is more interest in Nevada chips probably than all the other juristictions combined. More interest means more competition for the limited supply. Do you know what the most popular coin is as far as collector interest? The lowly cent (or penny). The rare ones fetch high prices in top condition. The next most popular coin I believe is the silver dollar. However, we are talking millions of coins minted compared to hundreds (or thousands) of chips manufactured (I believe minted is not a proper term when applied to chips). Having said that, the collector base in the coin hobby far surpasses the chip hobby. Should this hobby keep growing, some of today's chips being taken for granted today, will become the classics of tomorrow. Now don't everybody call up their broker in the morning and cash in their stocks and invest in casino chips. This still is a hobby to most of us. Enjoy your hobby. If at some time in the future you decide to cash in and if you've made a profit doing so... that's good. If you don't make any money at cash out time, look at all the enjoyment you've had along the way. Anybody want to buy my old bowling score sheets or used tickets to ballgames? Didn't think so, but I had a good time enjoying those activities as well. It's still a hobby for most of us. It can get expensive at times, but then I suppose there are expensive matchbook covers and buttons for collectors of those items as well. Archie
