Paul, What Don L failed to tell you in his ID, was that I & a friend helped rennovate this casino with all of our losses. I have been there many times through the years since it's only an 18 minute flight from Ft. Lauderdale. The casino had been El Casino when it first opened & reputedly had some ties to Meyer Lansky. There is no solid information on his involvement, but I recall that he had something to do with the security of the casino counting room.<g> This was after he was run out of Cuba when Fidel came to power. Another less interesting sidelight to the casinos in the Bahamas is that citizens of the islands cannot gamble in any of the 3 casinos now operating. I wish they had similar restrictions when gambling debts reach a certain limit for non-citizens! I have paid off numerous markers through the years. An interesting place to visit, now that the have a new sports book.
