Lodge Chips--Profit Margins

Friday, August 21, I attended the public meeting of the Colorado Gaming Commision. I spoke for the chip and token collectors. I brought in a sample collection of chips in a wooden frame and passed it around. I wore a tee shirt from the national convention. I told of our historical interest in gaming, and that we consider ourselves friendly to the gaming idea.
Then I held up an empty frame from the grand opening set from the Lodge. I told them that this frame cost me $69, a first time event in all of gaming! The commioneers seemed to have sympathy. I told of collectors that could not have the chip because of the price.
The chairman ask George Turner if there was any laws or regulations broken, and he said no. Mr Turner had tried to get information from Nevada Gaming on value control of chips, but they hadn't given him an answer.
The chairman invited Tony Cook to comment. Tony had been laughing in the back of the room. He came forward to say he hadn't broken any laws or regulations. H offered a product, and it was up to the collector to by them or not.
