Flea Market.

I'm sure this comes as no news to those of you who live in Las Vegas, but on a chip run to North Las Vegas, I was told to stop at the flea market on Las Vegas Boulevard to see if anything turned up. My wife & I got there late in the morning when the temperature hit 114 degrees! I did manage to hobble down one row & up another where I found 4 ashtrays to add to my collection. I paid a buck for 2 of them & $.50 each for the other two. The kind lady that sold me the first 2 told me of a dealer who was located clear on the other side of the market who she knew had many casino related items. Unfortunately the heat & my hips would not allow me to get there. She told me that items were always turning up & that she knew of the chip collecting convention at the Orleans. It seems that other collectors had been there earlier in the day. This seemed like a great place to pick up all sorts of stuff including post cards, ashtrays & possibly chips. A good knowledge of Spanish goes a long way in the market. On my way back downtown I stopped at the Opera House, Jerry's Nugget & Mahoney's. Neat places with racks of LE's at the cage. If you are ever in Las Vegas when it's not too hot, this is a must see.
