I apologize if this story taken from the Las Vegas Liesure Guide has been previously posted while I was vacationing in the Silver State.. I searched the back postings and could find nothing on it.

***** - 8/12/98 - In our southern neighbor of Laughlin, NV, the Gold River Hotel which
previously announced a name change and theme change has announced thier new name to be The
River Palms. The hotel theme will change from the previous, Old West/Gold Mining motif to an
Old Carribean/ Pirate venue including hundreds of expensive new palm trees, extensive indoor and
outdoor landscaping, and a large, authentic, rustic sailing ship which will fill the main lobby and
whose mast will extend to the second floor rafters
