Re: NORTH TO ALASKA

Gene, a Laptop is like a Computer, but better! If you've got a Lithium battery, you can play for hours without anyplace to plug it in. It fits in carry-on luggage, so you can play games on it while flying, or if you have one with a CD-ROM, you can listen to music. You can use it in the woods (or on a cruise) if you have a good cell phone to keep in touch with anything that you might have going on with the internet.

....I use my laptops almost exclusively for everything that I do online. Some of the work that I do on the road is important enough that I take a spare laptop, just incase my main unit has a problem. ...they are pretty cheap right now for a 200 MHz or better Pentium model. Mine are Toshibas, durable, hard to hurt, have seen them dropped from 4 feet to the floor and still boot.

When you work 360 days a year, you need to be portable. I most of this stuff figured out, but there's new stuff everyday.... Bob
