Jim, et al ----- I am a first class club magazine subscriber (by choice because I am impatient to receive it). On the other hand, I have frequently asked chip sellers to send chips by cheaper (albeit slower) mail than offered, because I prefer to put as much as possible of my available resources toward chips themselves. Didn't get my new issue yet, though (sad face).

Unless and until the the club members who bear the burden of publishing and distributing the magazine say THEY want a first class only mailing, those who prefer not to give the extra $12 to the USPS should be given the choice.
