Greg ---- the regulations themselves don't make it illegal to remove the chips; however, under common law principles, if the casino cannot transfer ownership (the chips "are not the property of anyone other than that licensee"), then anyone else who takes them with the intent not to return them is committing a theft.

I don't remember ever seeing a sign in a Nevada casino which contains the statement required by the regulations (advising that the chips are the property of the licensee only). Do they all really have such signs? Where do they post them? ----- jim o\-S
