The Tropicana, otherwise fast becoming known as the L.E. capital of the east, released its $5. Independence Day chip today. Whereas a casino in Las Vegas might release such a chip on July 1st or thereabouts, this place always
seems to put out the chip on exactly the date of the event.
As usual at the Trop, collectors were "hassled" in getting chip quantities needed, with at least one person attempting to buy the new L.E. in the poker
room having been told that he must be a participant playing in a poker game in order to be allowed to buy the chips.

Greg had asked to see a scan of the new Tropicana $100., so it will be my excuse to try scanning and posting a scan for my first time. While at it, I
also scanned the new $25. (the dark area on the $100. scan is not a defect,
the chip shows the corner of a black Tropicana slot card as if the card were
lying near the roulette wheel.
