I talked to Larry Trapp this morning. He has only seen or heard of 4 of the black $5 Mecca chips. He had all 4 at one time, only one remains in his collection.

Somewhere in email or on this board, I saw someone attribute the yellow no denomination Mecca, as a roulette chip.I feel very comfortable in saying the Mecca never had roulette. Very few clubs in downtown Newport had roulette. I have been in a number of these clubs and talked to many workers from the era includding owners.

Beverly hills and the Lookout House did have roulette.

I believe the Mecca yellow was used in poker.

I can tell you 100% that the chips being attributed to the Sportsman Club, were not from there.
