I started out doing that too, Alan. However, every day an incomplete transaction lies around is another chance for something to go wrong, and for your memory of specific to get dimmer. In nine months, I have had ZERO problems with bad checks or no-pays on eBay, and just got my Green Star last week. I have decided that I will wait for a check from a chipper the first time I do a transaction with him, but after that will mail the lot when the sale concludes. I may be bitten some time in the future, but the odds say "trust works" in this hobby and the reputation for completing trades and sales promptly means a lot.
