Aside from the choices of words to search with, can someone explain, for we E-Bay novices, what is the difference between "SEARCH" and the other
option 'USE OLD SEARCH" ?

I went to EBay a few minutes ago, clicked on the collectibles category,
and it of course showed all the topics within collectibles.
Under "Casino", it showed the number 703.

Then, I went to "search". In addition to typing in what you want to search
for, it gives two optional boxes you can check mark, "search only in
collectibles" OR "search within titles and descriptions."

I typed in the search box, (casino,poker)chip*, and did NOT check mark
either of those boxes. It responded with 619 items.

I then used that same search string, and DID check the box "search within
titles and descriptions". Doing it that way indicated 923 items.

I don't know what this proves, if anything, but would be nice to know if the
rest of you do or do not check either of those boxes?

But, the latter way also gave listings for things that do not show the word
casino, the word poker, or the word chip. For example, I saw a listing for
"Atari Lynx Sun Visor". Its getting more confusing by the minute.
