There are chips being offered on eBay by a long time dealer which are said to be from the Mayfair--a private NYC gaming club. See # 17140610. They carry the name, "El Monte." I checked The Gaming Table which shows the El Monte to be a closed Eureka, California club with the Square in Circle [SQINCR]and double square & diamond [SQSQDI]edge molds. The chips shown in the eBay auction have SQINCR and DIASQU [diamond & square] rim designs. I would be interested in them if they are from the Mayfair--and not so interested if they are a California club chip. Anybody know anything about these chips?
