Hi again Amy; Your question regarding women collectors and home addresses is a valid concern. In my former hobby of coin collecting (a mostly white male hobby at the time, unfortunately) women were few and far between. That has changed somewhat more recently, but your concerns are not. There are a large number of women who belong to CC&GTCC. I don't have the exact breakdown, but it would be an interesting statistic that club Secretary Steffner may be able to provide for us. Women sometimes use just a first initial instead of a whole name, which usually djiscourages some of the creeps of this world to pester women who give out first names which almost always tips off gender. Getting a post office box is a smart move for ALL collectors to consider simply for the security aspect. Sometimes a P.O. Box in an adjacent town to the one you live in is even better. Yes, it is more inconvenient to travel to the post office every day or two to pick up one's mail, but it's a trade off for the security of not listing one's home address. One never knows who is reading these posts, reading advertisements in hobby publications, etc. I recall a west coast collector who had his home broken into as a result of publicizing the fact he was a collector.
