The Paul-son Diamond mold is a clay compression molded chip. It would meet Nevada Gaming requirements in size and weight. Paul-Son told me the last time it was ordered was in the early eighties.
Where did you buy the chip you are speaking of? The Diamond mold has been knocked off my a company making plastic chips and another Co making clay/plastic composit chips. I think they are in Asia. I have one, and will search my files for it.
I just recieved a Win Card chip from Rail City Casino in Sparks Nv. It had TK on it, as the Co that Hot Stamped it. TK Speciality told me RCC bought the chip in Asia and sent it to them for Hot stamping. Yesterday I seen the same chip at the GGS and Don Jachow told me he made the same chip right there on Main St. He is making injection molded chips with many molds including Triclub for home use. He also sells them to casinos mostly overseas. The Asian Co's are making the same molds. In a few years we might not ever know who made a chip. Don said he can not tell the difference between his and the knock-offs.
