ST. LOUIS, April 29 /PRNewswire/ -- President Casinos, Inc. (Nasdaq: PREZ) announced today that its St. Louis casino operation on `The Admiral` has received all required approvals and will reopen to the public Thursday, April 30, 1998 at 6 p.m.

The casino will continue on its regular schedule thereafter. The reopening will come 26 days after runaway river barges struck `The Admiral` at its mooring on the Mississippi River, severing several of its mooring lines.

`The Missouri Gaming Commission has given the approval to reopen and all other appropriate government and regulatory agencies have reiterated that our permit requirements have been met. All necessary steps have been taken to assure the safety and comfort of our loyal guests and patrons,` said Jesus Aviles, General Manager of the St. Louis casino operation.
