Book Review - Colorado Gaming Tokens & Chips

Today I received my copy of Gary L. Johnson's new book "Colorado Limited Stakes Gaming Tokens and Chips, October 1st, 1991 to March 15th, 1998. The book appears to be a annotated check list of tokens and chips. Mr. Johnson's work is OK for its purpose but I guess I was expecting a bit more. Especially after becoming familiar with Archie Black's Atlantic City book.

For token collectors (I am not) the list includes detailed information on all the variations and is a valuable reference. For chip collectors, Janice O'Neal's list has more complete information about each chip, ie. color, inserts, inlay and design.

Mr. Johnson would have an excellent book if he included:
o pictures, Colorado chips as a group are certainly the nicest looking
o price guide
o casino information, opening & closing dates, location
o detailed chip identification, like The Chip Rack

I don't mean to be negative, but I would also like to let other chip collectors know what to expect from this book.
