The rest of my trip report, Jerry, John B also

So yesterday I went to the Paris flea market again to finish it up. I did manage to see all 3000 vendor booths and actually found a few chips. I did make one mistake though. The previous day I wore my winter coat since it was cold in the morning but after an hour or two I had to unzip it because it got unexpectedly warm. Yesterday I made the opposite mistake. It was 53 degrees when I left the condo and supposed to get to 65. Decently warm weather for a medium weight coat right? Not if it is cloudy and the wind is blowing like crazy. I froze my tail off most of the day.

Toward the end of the day I finally ran into a store that had some chips. A picture of it is below. They did not buy anything one of a kind. They had hundreds of everything. They had two small boxes of casino chips so I picked up a few. Then I found a lady that had keychains and bought a few of hers that had chips on them. Her mother was in the next aisle so I managed to get one more. But that was it as far as chips. I did manage to see one of the boxed horse race machines but the dealer was not around and it was at one of the high end places so probably very expensive. Speaking of expensive, I could not believe the prices they were asking for almost everything. I saw gold rings/necklaces that I would sell for $300 and they would be asking $1000 or more. I did pass on one thing. It was a Charder vase (looks like Galle) and she only wanted $500 for it and they go for about $800 on Ebay.

Now for something Jerry would want. I saw this 6" X 6" roulette layout at one of the stores but did not see a price on it. Dealer was not around to ask either.

And finally one for John B. Dealer claimed this was from "early 1800's" (I doubt it) and wanted $50 each. I looked closely with my loupe but could see no indication that it was ivory or bone so I passed on buying it. But it sure does look old and well used. Any idea where this is from or what it would be used for?
