Felix was one of my favorite people and I would always stop in
his club and talk with him when I was in Lovelock. He would
tell me stories including the time his father was killed during
an argument at his daughter’s wedding reception at the Riverside
Hotel. His father ran the Northern Club and was highly
regarded in Reno. Felix’s was eventually closed for cheating but
acquitted at trial. I remember his dog always sleeping under a
twenty-one table. Photo shows Felix dealing the wheel. The club
was torn down many years ago. Felix also had the Big Meadow
Hotel across the street.
