() What Barry Sherwood Said Publicly About Club Inventory
Barry Sherwood’s commitments concerning club inventory, donor instructions, and communication appear in several public posts on The Chip Board.
PokerChipper News reviewed the original posts. They document both promises and subsequent inventory work—and provide context for the questions raised in our four-part investigation.
November 10, 2024 — An early commitment
Responding to Steven Cutler’s request for an accounting of CCA and Museum of Gaming History property, Sherwood said he intended to address the inventory during the first part of his presidency, unless the existing board completed it sooner.

December 6, 2024 — The campaign platform
Sherwood’s presidential campaign statement included:
Inventory all club assets and donor instructions
He also pledged to:
Increase communication from leadership (from me in particular)
The platform additionally called for transparent reporting of membership numbers, expenses, and financial performance.

May 27, 2025 — Volunteers requested
Sherwood proposed a full inventory of the CCA and MoGH storage units. Volunteers would help photograph, catalog, and enter items into a spreadsheet. He explained that documenting the holdings took priority over assigning values.

May 28, 2025 — Donor restrictions acknowledged
In a follow-up, Sherwood explained that some donations might carry restrictions preventing their sale or distribution. He intended to identify those conditions for every item. Using unrestricted donations as membership incentives, he said, would require board discussion and approval.

June 25, 2025 — Completion “for now”
Under a title describing the inventory as complete “for now,” Sherwood reported that he and Rob Lange had spent two days inventorying storage contents. He directed members to the CCA forum for further details.

May 22, 2026 — Inventory publication announced
Sherwood publicly announced an inventory release and linked readers to the members-only CCA forum discussion already examined in our reporting.

What these statements establish
The record shows that Sherwood publicly discussed inventory work, sought assistance, acknowledged donor restrictions, and announced a general inventory release. Those actions deserve acknowledgment.
These particular posts do not themselves provide a complete accounting connecting the donations announced in 2023 to their appraisals, subsequent sales, and remaining holdings.
The question for members remains: what documentation brings those pieces together?
Readers with additional statements, inventories, or other relevant records are invited to share them, preferably with original links and dates.
