That no one really cares about how transparent or secretive the club wants to be. One reason why I resigned from such a club. It’s amazing to see so few questions asked. To your point John B. Admin of the club has been dead silent which shows that either they hope this will just blow over or no one will care.
Honestly I don’t believe there was any million dollar box and the perpetrators of such a rumor should just come clean to its members who just fork over their money and donations (like I did for the convention) while they claim how serious the financials of the club are.
They took your magazine, I agreed, waste of money in the digital world. And told you that the club would be busted if they continued it. Membership on a titanic decline. Bank balances dwindling. All while bragging to the membership they had a box with a million dollars.
Sell off the box, invest whatever you get for it and keep the club healthy wouldn’t that be the responsible thing? I’m sure there are many buyers for those million dollar things! I think thunder snow Joe even offered to buy it at one point and was lied to with some non existent tax code.
I guess I was the only one interested in those running the CCA being honest and/or forthright. I wonder if the IRS is interested in such questions or the Nevada tax office? Although I haven’t seen any answered questions but as a non member they have no obligation to me any longer maybe if a member asked about all this they could clear it all up.
A million dollars of membership owned collectibles and no one cares or even knows if it’s been disposed of or ever even existed. That’s crazy to me.
As for deleted posts I’m surprised that any of these posts are still here at all. But they are memorialized that’s for sure.
