() club should do for their membership. Not about requirements. In the end I suspect most don't care. HOWEVER, let's just take this million dollar mystery box bragged about (or anything else for that matter). Who is caretaking that box and why can't the membership (The owners of the club) know what's in it or what its status is???
It's not like this is the ANA or The Stamp club with 10's of thousands of members, it a little chip club Less than 1000 members. If the answer to its membership is "We don't have to tell you" I'd vote every single person that said that out on their behind. But again, most don't care or even know for that matter. I personally expect to hear that such a box never existed or some rendition after enough time has passed.
If the person who declared a million dollar valuation (if real) used that as a write off on their taxes and they get audited or someone turns them in for such a thing you could be sure that the beloved IRS will come calling on the recipient no? Then what? Not saying any of this will happen, what I am saying is there should be transparency regarding the assets of the club beyond what the IRS says they are required to or not required to do. What is there to hide from the membership? How much could there be?? Why was it such a drawn out production that there was an inventory happening that would be released to the membership and asks for help in getting it done and then a nothing burger to the membership in the end. Hey who am I? No one owes me anything as I am no longer a member.
