The ChipGuide has been under a DDOS (Distributed Denial Of Service) attack for some time now. In this kind of attack, culprits try to overload the website with so many requests that it causes performance problems or crashes the website. Everyday the level of requests from the attacker has increased. The attack is somewhat contained, the requests are being caught before they actually reach the ChipGuide. But the attack is starting to take its toll and performance is slowing.
On a normal day, the ChipGuide gets around 250,000 to 300,000 requests. The attacker is now sending about 16,000,000 requests per day. Please bear with us until we can get this under control. Thanks.
