Rabbit hole of the day... vbg

When I ran across the Colbrandt's menu that I posted a few minutes ago, I noticed that it didn't say "Colbrandt's Flamingo". I'm familiar with Colbrandt's Flamingo, so thought maybe the name Colbrandt's preceeded Colbrandt's Flamingo.

I looked at the Chipguide...Colbrandt's Flamingo was listed, but not Colbrandt's

So I pulled out Fuller's Index...Colbrandt's was listed, but not Colbrandt's Flamingo

So I decided to check other reference books...

Then I started checking phone books...

No mention of the Flamingo, until 1950!

Looking at Colbrandt's Flamingo on the MOGH site, I noticed that the chip order cards were either VTS (Virgil T Smith) or Colbrandt's...no mention of Flamingo

Then I thought that maybe it was Colbrandt's Flamingo on the gaming license...that doesn't seem to be the case either...!

We have matchbooks from Colbrandt's and From Colbrandt's Flamingo

We have a postcard that shows Colbrandt's Flamingo (partially hidden...but it's there)

I decided that I no longer care when the menu was used grin
