() Here's a detail from an aerial photo of the Las Vegas strip area.
East is at the top, and the I-15 freeway is running from left (South) to right (North). The LV Strip runs parallel at the bottom of the detail.
At the left is the Dunes complex. The round object on the corner is the "Oasis" casino (I think). It also could be the Dome of the Sea restaurant? The reason the Dunes golf course is reddish instead of green grass is because aerial photos of that era used a false coloring (maybe due to infrared film?) because they were mostly interested in crop production.
Across the side street from the Dunes, to the right, is Caesars Palace. You can make out the fountains in front (famous for the Evel Knievel jump) and the hotel complex. And on the right side of the detail is the Gran Prix track.
Enjoy.
