I had started a project to host a collectibles (ALL collectibles) show here in Reno back in 2025 but the person I hired to handle social media basically flaked for 3 months and it became too late to successfully salvage the show that year. 80% of the people that did reserve dealer tables let me roll over their reservation to the following year, which would have been this past May. However, I intentionally got VERY active as CCA President and realized I was not going to have the bandwidth to have the show this year, either. I refunded everyone's money but still have a deposit on hold with the Grand Sierra Resort. They were (will be) giving me 45,000 sf (not a typo!) to host this thing. I was going to have to bring in elephants, a Falcon Heavy rocket and a car show just to fill the space (just kidding).

I've been able to get a lot more help with CCA projects this year and if I can keep myself from taking on more projects, I'll resurrect the idea again but probably not until 2028 at the earliest. I just got bitten by the AI bug when I attended a huge AI conference in Vegas last week, so I'm mentally going down that rabbit hole and have several projects I want to do using this emerging technology.
